  • reading electronic text
  • selecting relevant information
  • skimming text for gist 
  • scanning text for details
  • synthesizing information
  • working in teams
  • preparing PowerPoint presentations

 

A successful PowerPoint presentation depends on three factors:
  1. Good planning
  2. Sufficient practice
  3. Clear and simple slides

Each PowerPoint slide should 

  • Have only a few ideas using words and phrases only
  • Include graphs and/or charts
  • Use simple, easy to see font style and size
  • Use other relevant visuals
